Paul Mann

Paul Mann was a Senior Fulbright Fellow in Spain and Morocco from September 2022 to June 2023. His project was a study of the structure and tectonics of the Strait of Gibraltar, which is a shared marine passage between Spain and Morocco that acts as an oceanographic gateway between the Central Atlantic and Mediterranean Oceans.

For the first five months, Mann and his wife were hosted by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and for the following five months, they were hosted by Université Abdelmalek Essaadi University in Tangier.

Fieldwork was completed across the coastal area of Morocco and has been integrated with marine geophysical, GPS, and earthquake data. The study results have been jointly presented with collaborators at conferences in Morocco, France, and the United States.
